NOW, MEET LEE ROY REAMS
“Broadway’s song & dance man nonpareil.”
— The New York Times
There are Broadway performers and then there are performers who have lived Broadway history.
Lee Roy Reams is one of them.
For more than half a century, Lee Roy has been part of the very fabric of Broadway, starring in such legendary productions as 42nd Street, The Producers, Beauty and the Beast, La Cage aux Folles, Hello, Dolly!, Applause, Lorelei, Oklahoma! and Sweet Charity.
His performance in 42nd Street earned him both Tony and Drama Desk Award nominations, and his career has taken him from Broadway to concert halls and cabarets around the world and even to the White House, where he performed during the administrations of four U.S. Presidents.
But the credits tell only part of the story.
Imagine a lifetime spent performing with and knowing some of the greatest names in American entertainment:
Lauren Bacall. Carol Channing. Gwen Verdon. Chita Rivera. Liza Minnelli. Bonnie Franklin. Penny Fuller. Helen Gallagher. Dolores Gray. Margaret Whiting and so many more.
Lee Roy doesn’t merely know the great songs of Broadway.
He knows the stories behind them.
He was there onstage, backstage and in the dressing rooms sharing the laughter, personalities and wonderfully unpredictable moments that audiences never got to see.
And Lee Roy isn’t simply part of Broadway’s past. He’s still packing the house. A longtime favorite of New York’s Broadway and cabaret scene, he recently played another sold-out engagement at Broadway’s 54 Below.
Now Lee Roy Reams brings that extraordinary lifetime of music, memories, laughter and stories to the stage of SHOW OF SHOWS.
Because when someone has spent a lifetime with Broadway’s legends, you never quite know what he’s going to say next. |
