| THE SHOW OF SHOWS
World-Class Performers. Expect the Unexpected.
There was a time when television could truly surprise you.
In the early days of television, the great variety shows brought extraordinary performers into American homes singers, musicians, comedians, dancers and stars from completely different worlds of entertainment. You tuned in not knowing exactly what or who you were going to see next.
Sid Caesar’s legendary Your Show of Shows helped define that era. Part of its magic was the unexpected: remarkable talent appearing before an audience that might never otherwise have had the opportunity to experience it.
We thought that idea deserved another look.
Stephen DeAngelis did more than look. He reimagined it.
Stephen created our Show of Shows around a wonderfully simple idea: bring together world-class performers from different genres and give an audience the opportunity to experience them together, live, in one intimate setting.
Except this time, it isn’t happening on television.
IT’S HAPPENING LIVE. RIGHT IN FRONT OF YOU.
This November, the Pocono Center for the Arts brings together world-class performers from different genres for one extraordinary afternoon in an intimate setting.
Some names you may recognize. Others may be completely new to you.
That’s the point.
EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED.
And now, after keeping you guessing, we’re ready to give you your first taste of what’s coming.
DAISY JOPLING
Internationally acclaimed violinist Daisy Jopling has performed around the world from London’s Royal Albert Hall to Lincoln Center in New York and the Great Pyramids of Giza. Her performances cross musical boundaries, combining classical virtuosity with rock, world music and an electrifying stage presence.
And Daisy is just the beginning.
And yes… Asher Denburg will be back at the piano.
Who comes next?
We’re not telling you.
Not yet.
